The work is led by engineer Catherine Wanjihia and technicians from Pumpen Engineering LTD.
The washing plant has now been inaugurated and taken into use.

for a washbasin for use by students and teachers at Githabai Primary School.

On behalf of the association Githabai's Friends, Sandved and our partners in Kenya, we thank you for the generous donation to a laundry facility for use by children and teachers at Githabai Primary School in Kenya.
Our engineer and longtime collaborator Catherine Wanjihia is going to Githabai on Friday 25/09.
She will hold a construction meeting with school inspector Wagura Wanyaga and school board chairman David Njoroge so construction can begin as soon as possible.
The president has decided that the schools will reopen on 12/10.
Your donation will ensure that children and teachers have the opportunity for frequent hand washing and thus better protection against the spread of infection.
When the project is complete, we will send a small report with photos.

Vi havde bl.a. en fin og udbytterig dag sammen med styregruppen for: Hope On the Move, som er dannet af tidligere sponsorerede unge fra Githabai Primary School. De unge brænder virkelig for at gøre en forskel og bidrage til en positiv udvikling af deres lokalområde, samt forbedre forholdene for betrængte børn og unge på Githabai. Der blev fordelt poster, udarbejdet mål og aktivitetsplan for det kommende år. Her er virkelig meget at glædes over og støtte op om.
We had a nice and rewarding day with the steering committee for: Hope On the Move, which was formed by previously sponsored young people from Githabai Primary School. The young people really are passionate about making a difference and contributing to the positive development of their local area, as well as improving the conditions for children and young people in Githabai. Items were distributed, prepared goals and activity plan for the coming year. Here is really much to enjoy and support.
